Mira Photo
Mira Photo is a collective of passionate photographers based in Madagascar, dedicated to telling authentic stories through images. Founded by a small group of committed visual storytellers, including iAko Randrianarivelo, the collective aims to foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and creative growth among photographers at all stages of their careers.

Born from the desire to create a supportive space for documentary and artistic photography, Mira Photo brings together individuals who share a common belief: that photography has the power to inspire change, preserve culture, and connect communities. The group organizes exhibitions, workshops, and collaborative projects, encouraging members to explore both personal and commissioned work with depth and intention.
In 2024, Mira Photo took part in Kozy Sary for the first time—a well-known photography talk event in Madagascar that encourages open dialogue between photographers and the public. The following year, in 2025, it was iAko’s turn to present his own photographic series at Kozy Sary, marking a personal and professional milestone. The experience reinforced the collective’s mission to amplify voices through visual storytelling and to engage audiences in meaningful conversations.

Through Mira Photo, the founders and members aim to create a lasting impact—both in the local photography scene and in the broader conversation about how images shape our understanding of the world.
